Global Adventurer

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” – Mark Twain

Outside of his business pursuits and family; Charles has developed a deep passion for traveling the world. Traveling has allowed Charles to meet new people, experience new places and broaden his horizons.

Charles considers himself a lifelong learner in all areas of his life and believes that traveling is one of the best teachers. Adventure affords the traveller with a number of advantages that are rarely realized in the confines of everyday living. The wayfarer is compelled to find their self-confidence when dealing with unexpected situations.

The adventurer makes new friends while also truly appreciating their friends and family at home. Unlike living in a mundane day to day routine, explorers consistently further their knowledge and education. Every day is a new experience and memories of happiness are able to preserve a feeling of gratification long after the moment has elapsed.

Charles’ spirit of adventure extends from popular tourist attractions to lesser-known locations, with no tourists in sight. Nevertheless, Charles’s favorite traveling stop-offs include most anywhere in Italy; mainly the Italian Riviera and the Italian Alps along with Istria. Charles enjoys spreading his love for traveling and encourages others to share his passion by becoming adventurers themselves.

“The traveler sees what he sees, the tourist sees what he has come to see.” – G. K. Chesterton

Visit the tourist hot spots, but eat, drink and stay in the local areas that provide the experiences that cannot be obtained by reading a brochure or a book. I have lived my life by regularly doing the opposite of what my peers did, and I encompass this same philosophy with my traveling. Yes, it is always relaxing to fly to an all-inclusive resort in a foreign country, but you are not accurately experiencing the country for what it is.

Traveling helps you understand and appreciate different countries and cultures. It changes the explorer’s perspectives on living. Knowledge is gained from experience. Realizing the opportunity you have embarked on when leaving your safe surroundings at home is a priceless sensation that will quickly become an addiction.
