So today I’m going to get to the 5 important things  you should follow before drafting your business plan.

Know your purpose

Honestly, if you don’t know what your goal is, you are just running in the wild for no reason. So the very first thing you need to do is figure out what is your purpose and why are you doing this. If there is more than one motive or purpose, like most cases, pick up a pen and write them out. It will help you stay on track.

Make your “Vision” happen

If you have a purpose setup in your mind, then you definitely have a vision or goal to accomplish. Even you don’t have any, you can find one easily. Just ask yourself where do you want to see yourself and your business after 1 year or 2 years.

If you have a long-term plan for your business, think a decade or two. But don’t overestimate your potential. If you have researched your market and know yours and your team’s capabilities, you should know what to expect in upcoming years. So stay grounded in your vision.

Precisely design your business model

I don’t need to explain how important and significant your business model can be. That’s why a good financial business plan should have everything you may need to think about in the upcoming years of business.

An ideal business model should include expenses, cost of acquisition, sales, pricing, hiring and overall growth potential. And this business model should be updated from time to time as the realities of your business unfold in front of you.

Know Your Targeted Market

Again, without knowing your target audience, it’s like running in the wild without knowing which way to go. So, precisely targeting your market is much more important than you think.

If you don’t know how to find your target audience, you should ask yourself who would be benefited from your service or product. Or who would like to take your service?You’ll get your answer.

Try out your business idea

Once you are done with your business idea, it’s time for you to test it out. There are few ways that you can do it. Firstly, you can talk to the industry experts. Even in this competitive world, there are some open-minded entrepreneurs who will be willing to share some intel with their competitors.

But if you can’t find someone within the industry, you can directly test your business idea with your target audience.
